Long Overdue Update!

Well, lets see what has been going on in the family. I still do not have a full time teaching job, but I am substituting and that does keep me busy! I have taken my ESL certification test and passed! I'm currently studying for EC-6th Generalist exam. This will open up grades K-6 and hopefully open up more jobs! Unfortunatly my job search has had to be put on hold for now. I started having issues with my knee again in January. I finally got into JPS's orthopedic clinic in June. The doctors say my implant is coming loose and that there could be infection in my knee. Which really sucks, because if I have an infection, it then becomes 2 surgeries instead of 1! The 1st surgery all hardware is removed and a block is put in place of my knee and I will be on IV antibiotics for 6-8wks and then if there is no infection then I get the implant! Also, JPS has a waiting list of 6-8 months! When I spoke to the nurse a few weeks ago she said I had been put on a shorter list due to the possibility of infection.. But I haven't heard a word! So,I sit and wait. Oh yeah, did I mention the pain this knee is causing me? OUCH!!! So, until I get the surgery I am unable to work.
Whitney has decided she wants to be a teacher too! She is currently attending ECAP alternative certification. She has a teaching job in Bowie, TX. She will be teaching Physics! I'm soo happy for her, although sadly this means she will have to move to Bowie! She found a cute 2-1 house in Saint Jo, which is about 20 mins from Bowie. She is so excited! I'm not sure I'm going to like this empty nest thingy...
Laura is getting ready for her wedding in Sept! We have everything done and paid for except the food, Dan's tux and my dress! Not bad! Of course our living room looks like wedding central! lol! Branden and his family are doing good! Braden is still a cutie pie and all boy! He is so smart and talks all the time. I can't believe he will be 3 in Nov.! I love it when he says "Grammy"! Danny is still driving over the road. His partner is going to retire this year and he is hoping to get a new route, like maybe Dallas to Florida! I just may have to go with him on that run!!! Sadly on July 2nd, we lost our precious black lab, Isabella. She was 10yrs old. She developed a tumor in her stomach and was unable to eat. We kept her alive by hand feeding her baby food. Unfortunatly her body just couldn't hang on and she passed away peacefully with Whitney and I beside her. :( So we only have Landry left and he is a handfull. I think we will get another dog, just not sure when. Later!
